Dust extraction again, sorry.
I've read quite a few of the member here use HVLP chip collectors (located outside their workshop) to catch sanding dust.
Whilst watching the Axminster videos with Colwyn Way on YouTube, I saw he uses a chip collector with a 1 micron cartridge filter in his home workshop to catch sanding dust. The extractor is the predecessor to this model Axminster Trade AT60E 1HP Extractor I found it interesting/unusual to see the extractor is/was situated in his workshop, very close to his lathe. Would this not be just blowing the really fine dust back out?
I brought this up, as I was reminded in a more recent video. Skip to about 9 minutes in this video, someone asks about the extractor for use on sanding dust and he says its suitable as it has a 'fine' bag filter on.
