Some of you will have already seen this on Robin Wood's blog, like I did, but I thought it was worth an extra mention. It's a nicely shot four minute video of a Chinese wood turner making a set of bowls, using hook tools.
That's not too unusual, but the style of lathe was new to me. He sits on it and uses both legs to work a pair of treadles.
The work holding is unusual too, and for anyone not bothered about turning, there are some instructive shots of how to sharpen on a stone without a single flat surface!
