Before progressing, in my case, to a bright yellow Yamaha FS1E with disc brake, but with exhaust baffle removed so that it could reach 35mph (so we thought) 8)

That's where you went wrong, should have gone for the Suzuki X1 50 cc, no need to take any baffles out & did 40 MPH flat out :D :D :D :D :D

40mph  :!: I think I got 37mph by lying flat on the petrol tank, more when I upgraded to my Suzuki GT250 with colour matched (blue metal flake) fairing and top box  Gear changes ruined my platform shoes :) Ahh, the tasteful 1970's.

I 'upgraded' to a Honda CD175 - wot a bone shaker that was, it quickly went & was replaced with a Suzuki X5 200 cc flying machine.
Thankfully, was never fond of platform shoes but the perm took a right bashing taking the helmet on & off - I ended up looking like Huggy off Starsky & Hutch!!!!

Hi,

I started on a Kawasaki Z200 slow but went round corners, then a KH250, then another KH250 (they don't work if you wrap them around speed limit signs) then a Z650 then a GPZ1100 then a GPX1000RX and finally a ZXR750 which I still have.
