ive brought a cheep Cherry bowl blank but it has a few wood worm holes here and there
what would be the best way to disguise the worm holes ?

Thanks Dave

disguise them as worm holes - anything else would look artificial........

What about filling them with something completely contrasting like a brass filler?

Thanks for all the replys..i like the sound of this one but still being new-ish to woodturning i havent seen or know how to Brass Fill....
Any tips or how to Brass Fill would be great

Thanks Dave

Dave,

a cabinet makers trick used to use or mix the sanding dust from the piece with a pva glue. The pva dries clear and leaves a very similar colour, filled hole.

Never used the method on turnig pieces but, you never know. Could always test on a spare piece perhaps first?
