Chaps....I presume you did know your work is featured on pages 8 and 9 of this months Woodturning Magazine?? (Centre spread no less!!!)

There's a section called from the forum and I'm guessing it's associated with one of the Institutes?? Or is it just a general round up off various forums? It's unclear from the text on the page but both your recent pieces are published with your forum handles from THIS forum.

So well done for one thing and please explain for another :)

They are featured item samples from the GMC Forums Rob, either items noted by a moderator or picked by a forum member as Members choice in the weeks just prior to issue.

The members choice is not restricted to Turning and often showcases carving or Flatwork projects, that usually gets published on a Thursday evening.

Righto...Woodworkers Institute was the one I was thinking of. Nice work chaps.

Thank you Bob yes as Chas says from the GMC website. I tend to use the same user name for woodworking.

They not only picked from the "Members Choice" but also from the gallery as I have had some 14 or 15 that I know of

Hi All.
I should look in here more than I do, but struggle to find the time these days.
Dalboy is right (hello Derek)
Just to clarify...
Any thing that appears in the magazine has been selected by the editorial staff, and not the moderation team. We have no more idea what will appear, than any one else.
The Members' choice thread runs from the chosen member selecting the next piece to feature, and so on.
A moderator may be asked to make a choice if the selected member is not contactable in time, though we do prefer to nominate another member to make the choice, if possible. It is however, not guaranteed that a choice will appear in the magazine.

All I can really say is, if it appears in the magazine, your work is there by its own merit.
Nicely done by Chas and Derek.

Regards,
Neil.

That's really good, nice to see familiar names in the published media.

At least us lesser mortals get a show in with the more accomplished and exotic, think you should put some of your coloured work up in the Gallery Kim, think your recent Electric Blue or the coloured spheres would be well received.

I was pleased to see names I had seen in here - freaked me out a bit - well done lads!

=D>

Good to see you on here as well Neil some of us get around a bit and it sometimes can be hard to keep up with all the posts on various forums.

+1 from me as well they are worthy of being published.
