With so many different locking castors on the market your advice welcome.

Those of you who have fitted castors to a free standing bandsaw what make or type of castor would you fit to move the bandsaw around a small workshop?--rubber or plastic wheels?

Its more important to know the weight loading.
How much does the bandsaw and stand weigh? If you dont know, guess high.
Divide that by the number of wheels (I presume 4) and buy castors rated for that weight.
Rubber tyres WILL go flat on the bottom if you leave the machine standing for months between moves. Nylon hold up much better but are more susceptible to bouncing over uneven floors.
You want at least two to be locking.
