Anybody want a Startite 352 table? I just put it out for scrap but somebody might want it. It's old but OK except for a nick out of the apron casting which is no problem.
Free, collect only!

Mine has an annoying habit of gathering all the stringy bits of wood and forming a little mound just behind the saw blade where the two halves join together. I have tried to sort it but its a pita. I am miles away and if no one else has claimed it I would be happy to pay postage up to Scotland if it isnt too much trouble Jacob.

Thats a very rare item as nobody makes them anymore. Do you know the dimensions by any chance?

I have the 351 and I've just made a new table for it out of wood, the original table being pressed steel which is distorted. A cast iron table would make it complete, but not sure if the 352 version would fit.

Why are you getting rid of it Jacob? Has your bandsaw died?
No it got left behind by someone's workshop move and turned up in another scrap heap, so I saved it for the nation! Somewhere out there is a 352 without a table, though I guess it got scrapped or they bought a new table or something.

Well that makes a bit more sense I suppose! I have a 1970's 352 and it is so well built I find it hard to imagine one expiring from normal or even heavy professional use. It is certainly a superb bandsaw for a hapless amateur like me. You should always remove the table when moving a bandsaw like this as bumps on the road can put pressure on the cast iron trunnions which can snap. I wonder if it was removed for that reason and left behind or something along those lines?

Bumping this. I didn't follow up as I'd lost the bits - the trunnion thing which joins the two halves and other bits but they just turned up in a box.

Anybody want this saw table? Collect only.

If there is any chance of you posting it I would quite happily pay the postage Jacob.

Can you organise a carrier to come and pick it up? then its out of my hands - I just put it in a poly bag.
Try Parcel Monkey, AnyVan etc.
