Does anyone know if there is any difference between Cascamite and Extramite? Am assuming they are identical, but would like to be reassured.
Also, anyone know a stockist up in the wilds of Aberdeenshire? None of my usuals has it now.

Interesting - is Semforite another identical product? I see they also appear to list Cascamite at a good price, but that bit of the list is "under review at the moment" and haven't checked what is their delivery charge, which can be a real killer.

Cascamite and Extramite are the exact same thing. I'm not 100% positive but I believe that a change of company ownership led to the name change.

It's a great product by the way, but given your location make sure your workshop is up to 15 degrees c or warmer when you use it!

Should be the same stuff. The name has changed a couple of times though. Polymite, extramite, cascamite.

If you add a 1kg pack to the cart, the postage comes up at £4.29 plus VAT. If you choose 3 packs you get one free and the postage is £5.62 plus VAT.

Trouble with ordering in bulk is keeping it useable! I only need small amount and even buying the smallest 200g size will still subdivide it into smaller airtight packages. A kg would certainly outlast me!

Thanks for the confirmation - I've been a Cascamite fan for 60 years and really annoyed that it's getting much more difficult to find on shelves. And as regards temperature, Cascamite is a useful excuse for turning on the central heating radiator in the workshop :D
