I've got a chest of drawers
with these approx. dimensions: 140cm tall, 90cm wide, 60cm deep. Drawer fronts are 25cm top to bottom. Top cabinet section (two doors) is 40cm ttb.
I think that might make it suitable for repurposing as a "captain's bed". Putting drawers side-by-side would be around the same length as a standard mattress.
The plan would be to create a 'bunk bed'-like frame, into which the drawer sections (on castors) would fit. Just playing around with ideas at this point.
Have you ever sectioned up a piece of furniture like a chest of drawers? Any useful tips to pass on?
Ta!
