Carpenters Guild?

Hi Guys n Gals

I trained as a carpenter joiner many years ago outside the UK. My question is this. Is there any officail body that Carpenters can join in the UK that assures people that you are skilled.

British Carpenter/Joiner/Cabinet makers Guild or similar. Is it easy to get assesed and become a member?
