Hi, Chaps

Just a couple of planes this week and a saw sharpening file.

The planes are both made in Nottingham a Hields

And a Kirk & Asling.

Looks like a strip of Lignum on the Kirk & Asling.
Need a clean up and sharpen, and the file diping in acid to sharpen it.

My recent decent into the fascinating abyss that is woodie....has sent me down innumerable side paths on my quest for Angels.

One of those was the "Nottingham Path"....that of Hields being of particular interest and the wonderful scripted marks they used.

I had not hit the little Kirk and Asling tributary before now...and I hold you entirely responsible for exposing this to me and any deviation that may result in my ultimate quest.

I slipped up a bit in the I.Green road...mostly because of the age and mark...and I absolutely refuse to be tempted further! (for now! )

Lovely quality finds there mate! =D>

Dare I ask the price you paid?

Jim

Hi, Jim

£5 for the two, the chap I bought them off says he has some more, and will bring them next week, so it looks like I will be steping out early Sunday morn.
I will have to dig out all my moulders and do a group photo, and may be offer up some of the duplicates, if I can stand to lose them!
