I believe he couldn't have the vaccine because he was having treatment for pneumonia.

We have just been talking to our girls who are quite upset, what a truly amazing man, a hero to the end.

I explained if I made it to 100 and became world renowned in my 99th year for doing so much good for others and was made a Sir, I would die a very happy man.

Such a loss to humanity and his family, RIP Sir Tom

Just to highlight, the Swiss TV & Radio news here is not generally noted for covering UK News a lot (unless it's "really important") but news of his death was on our news the other night.
