Bump?

Having read through as much of the rules, etc posts as I can, my dim old eyes can't see reference to the term 'Bump' - Can someone wiser and/or more experienced in this than me please explain the meaning?

Isn't there; a reasonable in my opinion, section in the rules that prohibits repeatedly bumping items up the list.
I reckon that an overpriced or whatever item will not generate interest and will be default fall off the bottom of the list.
Some stuff gets repeatedly bumped up the lost. No skin off my nose but it still seems a bit unreasonable.

I believe you are allowed to bump your post a maximum of 3 times. If it's a busy posting day, topics can easily get lost, especially in the for sale section.
