brush cleaning/storage

Didn't want to go the bother of cleaning off a brush which I had been using for varnish/shellac as I intended to use againg later in the day so I cut off the top end of the brush poured some white spririt in to a tall empty jar stuck in the brush and put the lid back on.
Haven't seen this one before.

A lot of polishers I know would put a nail or dowell through the mop then hang it in meths
