Boxwood+ lignum vitae box

Hello folks

here are two new boxes i've made recently

lignum vitae and boxwood 1 5/8" wide by 2"tall

African blackwood and boxwood 1 3/4" wide by 2 1/4" tall

both look good to me - but given a choice it would have to be the LV combination; works really well.

Beautifully finished and lovely shapes, but I'm not convinced by the wood combinations.

nice boxes - particularly like the LV one

Being hypercritical - the bevel on the lid rim to me seems a bit too strong and the grain on boxwood lid detracts fron the inlaid ring.

Great finish on these and I like them both but if I had to choose it would be the first one as I particularly like the contrast between the two woods.
