Bosch Blue 14v Smoking!

Several weeks my 14 Volt Bosch cordless started to smell a bit followed by smoke and a few sparks! Is it likely that the brushes just need replacing? If so, is it a complicated job?

Have you suggested it switches to vaping, perhaps patches or even nicotine gum...? :lol:

First thing I'd do is blast it out with the air duster. I imagine you've built up some sawdust and stuff inside. Brush replacement shouldn't be difficult at all - There'll usually be a flathead screw on one side and another directly opposite on the other. Undo these and out of each will come a spring, followed by the brush itself. Take new ones and reassemble in reverse order.

Generally that's how it goes and there are YouTube videos a' plenty.
However, do check online for your exact model. I imagine Bosch will have a downloadable owners manual, or something.
