Does anyone have any simple ideas for making a jig to help with easily lining up and marking out the biscuits for butt joints, i have been coerced into making 6 small boxes with hinged lids, about 2ft square.

Many thanks

and i thought i would be enjoying myself making goblets over xmas

I'm assuming that you haven't got a biscuit jointer and that you'll be cutting the slots on the router. If you have a biscuit jointer then I haven't understood the question properly because thats what the fence does.

Thanks Tim

Problem solved i ordered a biscuit joiner, too much hassle trying to do 16 biscuits on each box with a router.

You were just looking for an excuse for tool acquisition weren't you

It was the course of action I would have recommended - such a useful bit of kit
