I've seen some odd things in my time but today was unique I think.
The bleed nipple on the front brake of the bike I'm restoring was butchered, and at 8mm dia seemed unknown to local suppliers, but they are standard on Fiat cars, so off to the breakers.
On the way out I stopped to look at the damaged bikes on offer, one scooter had obviouly had a very heavy frontal impact.
'i'm glad i wasn't riding that!' I suggested to my son, next to it was a Yamaha R6, also with very bent front forks.
'How the hell did that happen?' I said as the salesman joined us.
'Frontal impact,' he intoned.
I looked at him and scratched my head, 'But the forks are bent forwards!'
'Er, yeah, I dunno.'
He's not the only one!

Roy.
