Very nice Larry. Its such a warm timber isn't it? I really like cherry. The contrast in the top photo makes it almost look like its a Yin Yang design which of course I understand was deliberate :)

I just accept it to be or not to be the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune :)

I hope the cherry thinks the same as I tend not to put any aside now and it all goes into the firewood pile :( I did rescue a bit of an unknown wood), it got my attention by spearing a finger on a hidden spine. Not sure what it is, could be hawthorn or blackthorn, kept it back as nearly six inches in diameter which is big for either of those, but then again it could be plum? Might even make a small bowl from it.

Cherry is a lovely wood if you can stop it splitting. I turned most of mine green then let it do it's thang. A whole lot went in the bin, but some of it is still around.
