Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to this so bear with me. I've carved a simple fish shape out of pine which has gone surprisingly well, but the person I've done it for wants it to be a shiny as possible, so I'm wondering if anyone's got any tips on sanding it down to a really smooth finish, and then what kind of wax or polish would be best to get it as shiny as possible.
I realise that pine isn't the best material for this but I guess you've got to work with what you've got haha.

Any advice would be much appreciated, cheers.

If you want a shiny glass like finish then a coat of epoxy could be the way to go. Plenty of youtube videos showing how to do it if you don't know already.
