I'm thinking of investing in some of these, thing is, how parallel are the faces? Obviously when the clamp is tightened then the bar has to bend a bit. Not much, maybe, but a bit. When the bar bends, then surely the faces won't be parallel anymore? Anyone know any different?

FWW did a clamp road test a few issues ago. The K Bodies came out tops. A test bed was used to measure beam deflection.
PM me for a copy if needed.

I fully understand your reasoning and cannot argue with it but I have been using these clamps for quite a while now and I can tell you you need not worry. If the faces are not parallel under load then it must be practically impossible to detect the deflection.
K Bodies are awesome in use - heavy but so easy to use and as far as the faces staying parallel I have never noticed any problem at all.
You should find them a real bonus.
