Can any one reccomend a nice/ simple design for bench stops ?

Describe what you mean?

If you mean a bench hook, where you hold timber in place while cutting across the grain with a tenon saw - its fairly simple. Shouldnt really need a design for that :?:

Hi Paul,

Square peg in a square hole? Either stopped or tapered. Or in conjunction with a low profole baton. Lots of variations.

I bolted a thin piece of MDF to the left hand end of my bench with wing nuts underneath and bolts countersunk, I then have a thin type bench hook which I put into my vice and jam it up against any workpiece resting on my fixed end. ( or G cramp)
