Yup, will get a proper vice soon Chris. I don't mind spending money on a hobby I enjoy doing. I'm quite into photography as well, so I know hobbies can be expensive! :)

Not a bad price - but the P&P can be a bit annoying. I'd be tempted to get 2 vices at that prices - makes it a bit more acceptable. Or maybe find another seller - that might also have the metal working one in stock. Having one of each would be useful as you might need to do the odd bit of metal bodgering and you don't really want to hold it in your wood working vice.

I make mine out of 20mm dowelling, some with a section cut off to provide a flat face.
