morning all, can somebody tell me where I`m likely to find some beech veneer ply in the london/southeast area

Alsford Timber will supply it, but I wouldn't use them if I was you!

Go for SL Hardwoods as woody says

Try Silvermans at Basildon, they have it in stock and deliver.

I wouldn't use Alsford or SLH for veneered boards, they both have to get them in which means extra handling and having them knocking around in there depots for a day or two before delivery.

I get my boards from a specialist panel supplier, that way they come straight of the pallet, onto their lorries and straight into my workshop. You will also not get them on the same load as fence panels & carcasing timber as you may with Alsfords.

Silverman are OK but a better source in this area isRichard Russell in Croydon.

for those of you who know our history, myself and Mrs kityuser have just had our first son.
Ethan was born 11 weeks ago and apart from a mild touch of croup is doing fantastically.

Been away from UKW and woodworking in general over this difficult time, *yawn* but now starting to get back into it (and realising why I loved it in the first place).
