It is 100 years since the first air raid on London.

BBC remit inform, educate and entertain.

Anything that ticks two out of three boxes should be applauded.
 
I know - the anniversary was actually yesterday.

It struck me as ironic, especially as they often report stories up to a week after they break on the internet, and their news is nowadays full of grammar and spelling howlers, and factual inaccuracies, too.

Any supposedly authoritative web site that uses "Explainers" when they mean "Explanations" deserves to be comprehensively satirised.
 
The plaque in the video says 31st May 1915.

My current pet peeve is all the extra videos just snipped from the news, I can read a long article a lot quicker than a 3-4 minute clip.

I agree "explainers" is appalling.
