Wow not seen that one. I to was looking to see if he had all his digits at the end lol

That's fantastic bandsaw action. I hadn't realised that the blade could be treated with such twisting force. As a beginner, making my first bandsaw box at the moment, my sawing is rather cautious.

I have switched to a Tuffsaw 1/8" blade, which works well and I have a second on order. When that arrives, I can be a little more aggressive and not worry if it breaks, but at the speed that guy goes, I would probably forget where I am. Blades are important and Ian at Tuffsaws is so very accommodating and will chat and give advice. If one of his saws breaks at the weld, he will re-weld for free. That's SERVICE and assurance that the product is good.

PS ..... sorry Moderators, we are supposed to use this as an OFF TOPIC, I got carried away.

That has been posted before, but fascinating to watch again. How on earth he gets the cuts so accurate???

The main reason he can be so aggressive is that he is cutting balsa. One of the ways to get a slightly smaller radius cut is to, very carefully, hone the rear corners off of the blade. I use a DMT diamond wet stone to do mine. I use 1/4" 6 skip and that lets me cut less than 1' diameters, but carefully doing it.

So how many times do we think he had done that before it was filmed ?
Clever stuff and well rehearsed.
