Bandsaw buying advice

Removal men have dropped my bandsaw in the move and it's now worthless. Waiting to hear from them on replacing it but it was a Rexon BS10SA which is no longer produced.

If I get a choice, or cash, does anyone have a recommendation for a small saw for preparing blanks? Probably around £300 max. Lathe is a Axminster mini so I don't need huge capacity.

If it's not for professional use the Record Power BS 250 may suit you - it's a 10" throat as I assume your Rexon was but the build quality will be far better.

I have a Axminster one and am very pleased with it. So well worth a look on their site

If second hand an option the Dewalt 738 / 739 is worth a look. I have the 738, 150mm depth of cut and 300mm throat is quite a decent capacity for a compact machine.

I have a SiP brand. Saw is OK but after sales service is terrible to non existent in my experience.
