Hi all,

Quick question, does anyone have experience of either of these pieces of kit by SIP?

10" sliding compound mitre saw (with laser) model 01314
12" bandsaw model 01486

Thank you!

Vormulac.

I have an SIP 12" sliding compound mitre saw (with laser) and it is very accurate. I am pleased as punch with it after 8 months of ownership. It did not come with a depth stop though to allow me ot make trenching cuts (they do now) but an 8mm bolt tapped into the casting sorted that out nicely

Mine cut all set angles (90, 45 etc.) spot on from the box and there is no play in the slides which are very sturdy

Very good value for money and a great piece of kit

My only quibble is the dust extraction outlet. rubbish!!!!!!!

I also have an SIP P/T and am pleased with that too.

But that seems to be standard for compound sliding mitre saws in general. I plan (when the tuit is found  ) to make a thin ply back to go around my CSMS to contain the dust, connecting the dust extraction system to it low down. 8)
