Hi
i have a B&Q jointer performance power 1280 no hand book.

I am trying to set the blades, but I did one blade turned the 4 screws and everything went well blade came out and I was able to reset it.

Now when I try to do the other blade, same procedure undo the screws as normal, nothing moves,
I try W40, tapping it with a bit of wood but nothing will shift it. I try the screws in various positions nothing happens.

At one stage I paced a bit of wood behind the blade and whacked it, I saw that the end I tapped moved up about 1mm and then I had to tap it back down, but it is stuck fast. Any ideas Please

Go back and make sure all the bolts are as loose as you can get them.
Use a wallpaper scraper and slide it in the end that came loose. use a small hammer or block of wood and tap the scraper along the blade until you reach the far end.

Thanks Sunnybob

I have found my mistake.

The first knife came out with the fence in place, but I have since removed the fence and found a screw that I was missing.

All went well from then, all set up now.

Thanks again.
