I have recently acquired one of these: http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-ax ... prod20350/

A hefty piece of kit as it is made from cast iron.
Easily fitted to a router table by drilling 2 holes into the table to accept the 2 locking bars which screw into a threaded flat bar underneath.
Both fences are individually micro adjustable (backwards/forwards) by turning a machine knurled knob.
The fences can be opened or closed in width when using different sized cutters by simply slackening a locking nut and re-positioning.
2 height adjustable hold-downs are also included.
I have only fitted and briefly used it today but have to say I am fairly impressed and look forward to giving it more use.

I have one too. My only reservation, and it is a small one, is that the threads on it are imperial. So for instance, I need to replace one of the levers and it's proving a pain to get one! Not sure of the age of mine, but it could be that more recent versions are metric.

Gents, a quick question: have you ever checked the parallelism of the two halves of the fence, and squareness to the table? I have a cheaper arrangement, and the two sides both toe-in towards the cutter slightly. It's about 0.5mm over the width of the table and it's not square either. It has to be shimmed for anything crucial, and it's a right pain. For example, that's way too much for a mitre lock cutter to work properly on a long edge.

This one looks really good in principle, but I'm wondering exactly how well it's been machined.

Thoughts appreciated, as I'm keen to replace mine.

Thanks,

E.

I haven't checked, I must admit; a new table top is in production, so when the fence is fitted, I will check and let you know.
