Hi
I have the same lathe, bought new in 1995, and still have the manual.
The lathe was available at the time with various names on including Poolewood and Clarke - Axminster sold it with some parts upgraded, such as the locking handles. I've not had any problems with mine, which has been fine for the occasional use it has had.
I have the manual, but I don't think it will be any use. There's nothing in it that is not obvious. Is your lathe assembled? It comes into parts for transport and you do need to bolt the bed bar together and align the head and tail stock using the adjusting screw at the back side of the tailstock. I could post photos of those pages if you want them.
There is no maintenance requirement - the bearings are sealed. You can oil the tailstock barrel.
Head and tail are no 1 Morse taper. Thread is 3/4" 16 tpi. There is an indexing ring with 36 stops, using a spring loaded stop behind the headstock drive.
Most of the manual is a very brief guide to wood turning, which is nowhere near as good as a basic book, and certainly nothing like as good as the world of youtube videos now available!
