My new extractor has arrived and is read to go, my old extractor was connected up to 4 inch pipe with 4 drops all four inch plastic ducting.
/Question would it be worth me changing the ducting to a 5 in ducting Would it make that much of a improvement or would you just connect up to the 4 inch that's already there Mock

Would there be a noticeable difference between the 100mm ducting if i upgraded to 125 mm ? I can come straight off the axi above with 125 mm or 100 mm

It will depend to an extent the length of the main duct run and also the number of bends etc but Id expect you would get better performance with a 125mm dia main duct run, expecially if you have a few bends in it.

Hi Mock - the bigger diameter the better - cyclones need airflow coming in to work at optimum performance and push the bits into the drum.
Too small an air intake and they won't work as they should.
Upgrade to 125mm if I were you mate.
Cheers,
Nick
