Does anyone have either of these saws?

The reviews seem mostly very good except for a few people that seem to be having issues with blade slop (the blade tilting during height adjustment) or the blade adjusting height when the machine is turned on.

It's seems odd that axminster would continue selling a saw of this price (at least £800) with such horrible design flaws.

I'm hoping that these people recieved a saw from perhaps a dodgy batch?

I've had the 12 for four or five years now, which I use as a hobbyist. I haven't had any of the blade movement issues, I use an electronic angle gauge to set the blade at full height and I've seen no significant deviation on lowering to cutting height.

Good know. Perhaps it's more the 10" then.

Thanks for the link.

The fact that some people experience the issue worse than others is sligtly odd. If it was a design compromise to bring costs down, I'd expect the issue to be consistent.
