My local woodturning club is changing from affiliate to associate membership of the AWGB. Would there be any benefit for me to continue my membership of the AWGB in a private capacity. Thanks.

Perhaps this page will give you some information to assist your decision - Members Benefits – AWGB

I consider it to be a two way street - it's also about you supporting a national charity in its activities to promote woodturning and to provide education along with supporting those who need it (clubs, other organisations and individuals) through the grant schemes and training programmes.

The AWGB is also working on some new initiatives to offer more to members and these will appear over the next few months.

You may already have heard of the twice weekly Zoom "Talking Turning" sessions which are open to all and are free of charge. Drop in and ask the others what they get out of membership.
