Engine warning light came on after I had filled with petrol. Looked on the web and the most likely cause was a to do with the petrol tank/filler cap, and nothing to do with the engine management system.
Disconnected the battery as per web as a means of resetting the sensor, but light remained after I reconnected.
Purchased the above on ebay - £ 9.95 because I only wanted to cancel the error code . Recognised that there was a error code, but wouldn't tell me the code number nor would it erase. Sent email to supplier who asked for a video - which I thought was reasonable and I may just be doing something wrong.
He offers me £2.50 refund - I politely declined and requested the full amount plus return postage if he wanted it back. He has come back this morning with an offer of £4.75 and I can keep the scanner - which doesn't work.
I'll wait until 13 June and request ebay help.
The seller on ebay is million*billion just so that you are aware .
