can you please define this a little more clearly

"Up to 3 different wood types will be allowed, but not multiple segmented work."

A literal interpretation would be that 4 separate pieces of 2 different woods glued together would be multiple segmented.

thank you

three different types of wood ( One of each ) so 3 in total

After reading the TV listings I have been inspired, and thought I might make a sex trafficking ring. Would this be within the rules?

Mike,
As an onlooker to the comp. I dont think your request would be feasible.

It would take Richard too long to check all the pieces on offer.

Although I am willing to offer meself as his assistant for the cause

REgards Boysie

I think I might have to abandon the idea, I've been looking at the lathe and I don't think it's suitable for turning tricks...

to the rulemeister
still at the 'planning' stage, but i have noticed that one can purchase inlay veneers that may look good on jewellery, would these be permitted ?
i can see that a single colour should be, but what of the patterned ones like,,,

in effect one piece of wood, but then again could be considered segmented . :?

Sorry Nev

Outside the requirements

( three different types of wood ( One of each ) so 3 in total ) each strip you show has 50 plus pieces

Wot no comment, no chatter, no disasters, no "what constitutes jewellery".

It must be that the world is on holiday or the lathes are spinning in secret preparation.

i was thinking the same thing  , just assumed everyone was off on hols, or maybe its because the rulez and requirements is a lot clearer now :?

An item of jewelry complete, Mister Blister. Off to Seattle for a couple of baseball games and then up to the north end of Vancouver Island for some R and R!

Just a quickie Nev

If you look on the main woodturning board I have posted 2 threads showing where I have used the stuff from the Original Marquetry company in case you want to see it as used

OK Thanks for the update

Are you going for the axminster lathe ?

I am indeed Mr Blister. The house hunting just isn't going to plan, so has gone on hold for a bit.

So after pay day I will be making that call you suggested!!
