Here's a hollow form made from ash (or at least I think it's ash). 14cm high, 12cm diameter. Turned moderately thin through a 20mm hole.

Good lines Paul, if asked I would have had a stab at Sweet Chestnut though.
 
That's fantastic. Really nice shape and hollowing must have been quite difficult from such a small access hole. Can I ask what tool you used for the hollowing?
 
Hi Chas, you might be right on the wood, I wasn't 100% sure it was ash but the pores looked similar, I'll try to get a close up photo of another piece.

Hi Drillbit, hollowing was done with a combination of sorby swan neck hollowing tools and if I recall, probably kelton hollowers too.
