Ash and ebony mirror frame

Awesome looking mirror Gidon. I like the ebony accents. Gifts are often the best chance to get to use exotic woods -- one rarely spends the money on oneself.

What sort of hanger did you fashion? I was reading your post, as well as a few others, and got to thinking that some sort of french cleat would be sturdy, hidden and would be easy to hang for non-DIYers.

Thanks! I just hid the existing mirror brackets like so:



The recess was drilled with a couple of forstner bits. Excuse the badly filled old screw hole - it has come up far too clearly in this shot.

A cleat is a nice idea - thanks - maybe next time .
