I've had an idea in my head for some time now, but was unsure how to put it into practice. I think I have worked out how to do it, so here is the prototype.
I present the wood-turned gum-ball dispenser mark #1
The timber is pine, dried in the airing cupboard and has been sat in the garage for a year since then. The glass part is an old jar from a well known brand of curry sauce.
Having made this one, I know exactly what mistakes I made, so next time will be better timber and I will be able to re-match the grain.
Alternatively, I may use contrasting timbers on the rings to disguise the fact I forgot to make registration marks before parting the various parts off.
