Apple wood Burrs planks and trunks. We have been clearing mature orchard in worcestershire we have some large trunks up to 28 inch dia. And approx 200 “lumps“of Burr. Should I have the burr planked or keep it in large sections.

Do wood turners work with green burr or should I store it befor selling. some of the Apple burr is in huge 'lumps' up to 30 kg

you would make more money selling it dry as most people wont like the risk of spending a lot of money for a piece of wood that is likely to split.
turners will use anything if the price is right :D

Apple is best turned wet because it is a hard one to dry without splitting and if you are going to dry it its best planked sealed spaced out to dry under a cover
