Hi

I've already had one whinge on this under 'Woodturning' as it is advertised as 'The Midlands Woodturning Show'! It's in the EAST Midlands, miles away from where I live in the South West Midlands so, regretfully, I will not be attending much as I would love to!

I was away over the weekend, so couldn't go, but I was rather hoping to read some reviews of a day I was sorry to have missed.
So, did you go, who did you see, what did you buy, was it a good day out?
Come on folks, the country needs to know!
:)
Well, I do, anyway.

Me too. I couldn't go as I recently had a mortice and tenon joint fitted in my knee. These surgeons are incredible - open the knee up, cut off and shape the bone ends, drill a mortice, align and press fit the replacement components (OK the tenon is preformed), bang it in, put everything back and staple it up - 52 minutes!!

Anyway would love to hear about Newark.

I went, I'm not a serious woodworker so I wasn't after anything specific. A good selection of machine dealers, but not too many deals( although there were a few). Demonstrators were working hard for all the time I was there. Best of the show for me was the powerbond glue I got cheaper than my usual supplier. Parking was good. Didn't try the refreshments so can't comment on that.

One of my guys has the Power Bond and swears by it, we had a great show visitor numbers were up on last year and the bacon butties were great!

Cheers Peter
