Any ideas on Skype problem

I intended having a chat with a friend last night on Skype. The day before I thought I had best check it out and when it came up on my i mac it said a new vesion was available so I installed it. Last night I made contact with my friend but when I clicked on the video icon so we could see each other it shut down. It did this a total of eight times. I don't know if its anything to do with Skype but shortly afterwards I had a box come up saying I needed to install the latest version of adobe flash, which I did.

I have now ionstalled Skype on my mab book laptop and my friemnd and I are going to have another go tonight. Any ideas what went wrong guys. Any help will be much appreciated.

Blame Microsoft. I had this on my Linux system, which had worked OK with Skype for years. Microsoft bought Skype and made everybody download a new version. The new one actually caused my router to reset itself, dropping the entire link. I got a new router. Now Skype works but only for voice.
