Any idea what this wood might be?

I found lengths of this in my allotment shed last year and had probably been there for sometime.

Thought I would have a go at turning it and it turns really well. Its pale in colour once turned and has a white pith.

Any ideas?

Is it a rare form of stickwood?

Possibly holly?
Does any of the pith have colour beyond pale? The bark looks a little fruit-ish...
