I thought I would post another photo. Made this a little while back and it's a 3D plaque made from marine ply. I stained some pieces, and others I left natural.

What type of blade do you use? :oops:

As a neewbie who has been given a scroll saw today and never touched one before.. i have no clue!
 
For anything intricate I use Olson skip tooth reverse blades. If the timber is less than 6mm, the 2/0 ones. For work that is not so intricate I would use #2. As an example, the project above I wold have used #2. I find the Olsons turn a lot better than the others and are less aggresive. For more open work, or straighter cuts, I like the F/D ultra reverse.
