Evening all, Having installed most of my 110mm soil pipe ducting I have come to the point of making the connections to the DC (2HP Aximinster) I will be using a 200litre drum as a two stage collector for the chips rather than have the chips go through the impellor.

I was going to use 100mm flexi pipe to connect the seperator to the DC using my newly found skills of connection 110mm pipe to 100m hose but then noticed the port on the base of the DC with the two 100m spigots comes off exposing a 150mm port on the impellor housing.

Would there be any benefit connecting a 150mm hose directly to the DC from the seperator while the ducting to the machinery is all going to be 110mm.

I hope I have explained this clearly enough and therefore makes sense?

Many thanks

David

Unless you have as much hose between the interceptor and DC as you have in the rest of the system then I don't think it will make much difference between 100 and 150 apart from cost that is!
The airflow resistance will be governed by the amount of 100m pipe
