In the middle of doing a set of bifold garage doors, the bottom ⅔ of which is Ledged, Braced and Framed, with a doubled glazed light at the top.

I'm inclined to use annular ring shank nails to attach the T&GV which forms the lower panel, out of habit, but seem to remember using clenched nails is traditional.

Is there a real world advantage to clenched nails that makes it worth the extra time and learning curve over going with what I know?

framed ledge and brace won't use clench nails only ledge and brace. I suggest screw and plug from the back.
