Finally got access to a scrollsaw! Draper 400mm.

So far all I have done is turn it on and chop little bits out of scrap wood. but I have a day or so play now, so will try to get a bit of a hang of it.

Typically of me, I have got into trying segmented pieces in my wood turning at the same time as trying to learn to use the scroll saw, so I am going to combine the two so I can learn them both at the same time.

Thank you for the welcome. I have a very long way to go!!!
But have had a bash!

And have already gathered that the wood is easier if it is a lot thinner than I tried, and the curvy shapes are easier than the tight angles.
But for this first project I didn't have much choice and it is a bit ... rough ... to say the least!!

however, you know what they say 'practice makes ..... some kind of improvment'

Happy new year all!!
