Well, I suppose it isn't funny really, but I believe, at the time of the accident, he was making a 'safety device' for the saw.

But it could be any one of us, so I hope he recovers OK all the same.

I saw a TV show once where Alan Holtham was asked what he did if he sawed something too short, he looked at the guy for a moment and said "I'm a woodworker, not a magician".

It looks like the problem still doesn't go away even if you are a magician!

Nonetheless, I'm glad to hear that Mr Daniels is a fellow woodie and wish him a speedy recovery.

Well there is a way around it Matthew, which I am sure you and Alan are both aware of. However, it takes more time than it does to cut a replacement piece! :mrgreen:
