My Hegner has been shoved out of the way for most of this year as I have been focused on metal work and my motorbike. When I did feel like using the scroll saw, it was a pain to get it where I could use it, so t'other day I cut the legs down and welded castors on the bottom. Two of the castors are braked so that the table stays steady, though, with hindsight, I ought to have used brakes on all three. Now I can just pull the saw out of the corner and use it instead of fighting it. Hopefully it will get used more often now.

Good call Martin. I did the same with my table saw and jointer, best thing I ever did. I agree that in an ideal world, all the castors should lock.
