Hi

I need a air powered nailer to attach some bolection mouldings to 8 american white oak door I am making at the moment.

New to the air tools so need some advice on what nailer to get. At the moment all I'm looking to use the nailer to attach mouldings but may need it to shoot larger say 40/50mm nails later down the line.

Not sure about the Axminster ones so any advice on other makes as well would be good...

This will be used on a more commercial base.

18gauge Bosch has given me good service & goes up to 50mm, for small beadings I use a Bostitch headless pinner

The bostitch ones are good, ive got the bt1855 its £119 from screwfix. I have used the axminster ones before and they work well for the price. I have found they misfire and pins get stuck, but thats only after a lot of use and could be due to not oioing them enough.

I have never been that keen on Axminster But I have one tiny air nailer by them, it's very good. The only misfire I've had was when the apprentice put the nails in the wrong way around. I'd buy another.

Are we talking the fine nailer here Nathan? Don't mind spending £30 and it lasting 18 months. Just don't want to spend £100 on a axi and find out it is no good. Have been stung in the past with axi Chinese crap... Sorry in advance axi fans.
